DELIVERD!

Fresh for students.

The food delivery market is currently booming in London, with lots of companies offering to cook your food and drop it off at your front door, office or university

building.

However, with high delivery prices and a minimum spend, you have to question as to whether or not it’s worth it. When it’s easier and cheap to go to your closest McDonalds, it’s no wonder that student obesity is on the rise, but a new food delivery start-up that is both healthy and cheap is here to change that.

Deliverd is a fresh and healthy delivery service, soon to be in the capital city, dedicated to serving the best quality food for only £4.

And - they don’t charge for delivery.

Holly Pugh, who looks  after Marketing Communications for Deliverd, says, “We are making it easy for busy people to order fresh, professional chef-made dishes, delivered to them at work, collection hub or home, in time for lunch or dinner.”

Talented chefs create Deliverd’s delicious meals using the freshest ingredients.

Some meals are to be eaten straight away, whereas others come with instructions on how to reheat them for the best quality. “We don’t like keeping food hot, it’s not good for the food so it certainly wouldn’t be good for the customer.”

Holly also says, “Serving food chilled gives them the freedom to prepare their meal in a few simple steps when it suits them.”

This new start-up does not own a single kitchen, but works with carefully chosen chefs who are guaranteed to deliver high quality food.

By using an outreach program, they work closely with their chefs to make sure that everything is done to the best standards and to ensure they always create a pleasant eating experience for their customers.

Holly says, “Our typical customers are busy people, falling into a numbers of segments - for example, office workers, startups, young professionals and

students. These people don’t tend to have a traditional lunch break, rarely leave work at 17:30, work/study until late. These people need convenience food that can fit around their busy lifestyle.”

Many students believe £4 for a fresh and healty is a great deal, compared to what you have to pay for fast food, something that a lot of students turn to when stressed or in a rush. Deliverd could stop students turning to junk food when there is a healthier option that is brought to them, free of charge.

Kayleigh Jervis, a 20 year old Criminology student, says, “I would probably use it if I was in uni and they are healthy cooked meals.”

“If you think about it, McDonald’s or Subway always comes to that, maybe more.”

Deliverd will be coming to a city near you soon in hope of dominating the food delivery market and making a difference in student’s lives.

Holly finishes with:  “We hope that the service we offer will improve the lives of students and help them thrive.”
